Hey folks, let me tell you what I THINK it is and yous tell me what it REALLY is if you happen to take this info.
I traded for this drum at to the lowest degree 20 years ago and it'southward been a real work horse for me, even serving equally my main snare for a total decade. I am considering letting it go merely I wanted to check my specs and details with players that are a little more than versed in the PEARL world than myself. I never researched it back so and at present the info is a little confusing with the different releases and generations of the Sensitones.
Hither is what I THINK it is..... A first gen vi.5 X 14" Pearl Brass Sensitone Classic (Model B6514DLC) with a very low serial number (#7403). This is back when they were made in Taiwan with a rolled and welded contumely beat out and it features the single flange stock chopper hoops with the claws and the die-cast stick guards (likewise of the first generation drums). I see this drum in the 1997 Master Catalog for the first time and I cant discover information technology once again in this specific configuration.
Talk to me, if I decide to list it I dont want to provide sketchy or incorrect details. It'south in pretty decent shape for it's years and I call up a Pearl fan might dig it and play information technology more I do now days. Thanks for any aid.

It was bachelor from 1997-1999 every bit part of the Sensitone Classic series that existed at the aforementioned fourth dimension as "regular" Sensitones. The model number is B6514CL. All of your other specs expect right to me. I have the aforementioned pulsate just 10 serial numbers off!
There were 4 drums in the Sensitone Classic line:
five.5x14 Brass - B6514CL
6.5x14 Brass - B6514DCL
five.5x14 Statuary - BR6514CL
6.5x14 Statuary - BR6514DCL

Thanks guys, I updated the info in my original post. Please allow me know if anyone has more info I should add.
Similar I said, I never perused this drum, I just acquired information technology in a merchandise and therefore never did any real research on it dorsum in the twenty-four hours when the info was readily available. Now it's harder to find this specific model set up this way. I had to replace all xvi of the hooks last week (replaced with new Pearl of course) as they had all drawn and cracked under the employ of 20 plus years the ii diecast stick protectors are perfect and original). But as I mentioned, I wore this affair OUT for well over a decade so I'm non lament. Information technology has e'er had the virtually warm and full bodied tone for a brass beat out. Even the "ring" is warm.
Like I say, I don't know information technology's future right at present. I already accept three brass, 1 cast Statuary and a copper shelled snare so I cant really say that I "demand" it, and have non played information technology in a couple of years simply darn information technology's a good sounding pulsate. Tin can you tell that I am trying to talk myself into keeping it? Fourth dimension volition tell.
Thanks again folks.

I know trivial about Pearls, but I think the Sensitone x luggers are chosen Sensitone Elites. I had a stainless steel 5x14, die bandage hoops, tube lugs - it was such a swish snare and sounded pretty darn close to a Supra - and an amazing bargain for $lx.00! But I then scored a Rogers COB Dyna shell, took all the parts off the Pearl and made a "rat rod" Dyna and sold the Pearl shell.....for $50.00!
The clips/hoops on yours are aftermarket.

Originally, Pearl did not have "Elite" in the title. They just had SensiTone Classic and Sensitone Custom Blend. I believe they added the "Aristocracy" moniker after 1999.

Correct, I know mine is the first generation before they introduced the Elites, but this is a good instance of how confusing the Sensitone line can be spread out over so many version and sub serial for almost 25 years. And nope, my hoops and claws are indeed manufactory orgional, and I think that really does help tame the sound too.

By the way, Thank YOU PETERK256! The 1998 Pearl Snare catalog you linked was the period to the whole story. Every question I had was now conclusively answered with documentation.... skilful gosh I love this site! Thank you all!

There have been many different versions of Sensitones over the years. I but did a quick bit of research, and I think this timeline is right.
Sensitone Custom Alloy - 1997-2005
Sensitone Classic (unmarried flanged hoops/claws) - 1997-1999
Sensitone Classic II (Diecast hoops/tubes) - 2000-2005
Sensitone Aristocracy - 2006-2013
Sensitone - 2014-Present
Sensitone Premium - 2014-Present
During these years, certain materials came and went, merely I think these are the bones eras.

That is awesome Adman, that is a handy reference to go along close. While I only own this 1 example, I do think the Sensitone line every bit a whole is one of the all-time snare pulsate values in the marketplace overall. Again, speaking just for me, it is the line I e'er recommend beginning when someone is looking for a drum that can punch well higher up information technology's toll weight class.
